My mom died last year, my only remaining relation. Anyway, for the holidays, I buy the best food I can find, plus a bottle of fine French wine, stay home with my cable TV, and my memories of the past. Merry Christmas to you!

The only family I really have are my parents =/. Even tho I dont see my dad I still love him. Every year Christmas is differenet for me. Last year I spent it with my dad and his family, one of the worst christmas ever!! This year im just staying home with my mom, nothing good. Lately I been having bad luck with stuff. I so hope next year will be better, as in I hope I can spend it with family i never see.

My daughter and her husband are in the military and the only people I have around are close friends that are like adopted children. We get together and have a great time.

My room-mate has family but they aren't close at all (and for really good reasons) so she came with me to my family's Thanksgiving and she'll be there for Christmas too. I'm glad I am there for her and I'm glad for you that you have close friends that are so welcoming! I know I didn't really answer your question, but I wanted to let you know that there are other people out there who make their friends their family! Happy Holidays!
