It's normal for the arm to hurt like that after having a flu shot. It is NOT in the bone. The shot is injected into the muscle.

However, if her arm has been hurting since October, that is not normal and from something else such as arthritis. With arthritis, you DO feel pain in the bone.

She needs to see a doctor.

the needles they use for the flu shot cannot penetrate the bone, it would brake before that happened. If she is still hurting from that shot, she should see a doctor immediatly, as it is not a normal reaction to the shot. Good luck!

She's fine.

I've had shots in the arm where it felt like they hit the bone because my bones ached so much.

If it doesn't go away after a few days go to the doctor. Or another doctor if they won't take her.

Sounds like the needle could have hit a nerve, and that's why it hurts. She should get it checked out because 2-1/2 months is too long to hurt.
