What was the largest denomination ever issued, and whose picture was on it?
The largest note ever printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing was the $100,000 gold certificate, series 1934, featuring Woodrow Wilson. This series was issued only to Federal Reserve Banks against an equal amount of gold bullion held by the Department of the Treasury for certain credits established between the Treasurer of the United States and the Federal Reserve Banks

Largest denomonation was $100,000
But not too long ago, Binions Horseshoe Casino in Vegas Had $1,000,000 in $10,000 bills on the wall that you could take your picture in front of.
Then the owner sold the $10,000 bills to collectors for like $100,000 for each bill. Totalling $10,000,000.
Anyway no $1,000,000,000 dollar bill.
Could you imagine buying gas with that bad boy. "uh, can you break this?"
"sure sir, you drive a Hummer, here's your $140 back."

The largest denomination was a $100,000 bill in 1934.
The largest amount in current circulation is $100. (If $500, $1000, $5000 and $10,000 bills surface they are legal, but pulled from circulation.)

Hey - I've got one right here in my pocket! I'll sell it to you for the one-time only price of half a billion dollars - today only (they couldn't make change for it down at the McDonald's, so I'm getting rid of it - cheap).
By the way - I have a nice bridge for sale in the Northern California area...
