on ours, they also have something running on the top 1/2 of the screen - usually it catches my attention and then I'm not paying attention to the bottom 1/2 and miss it all !

I have Directv. When you put on the guide you must click it to read about each thing. Sometimes when I'm on the pc I will forget and after a few minutes a show is back on and I have to go back to the guide again.

One of the elderly gents I used to take care of, told me that as we get older we have learned so much that our brains are too full to hold anything more, so it just pushs some things out, hence we forget, or it is tired and so just passes over new things, so we space out. I thought that sounded a lot better than just getting old and forgetful. LOL

Preview guide? There's a preview guide! You mean I don't have to use that stupid, poorly designed and often WRONG section of the newspaper. Honestly, I have never found one one in cable company's selections.

Actually, sometimes it goes so fast that I don't get to read everything before it passes by. And, other times it goes so slow that I space out, and it passes by and I forget to read it. I prefer TV guide myself, where I can see everything in front of me, and take my time looking at it.

I am so glad to hear others do it too. Or put on the weather station and totally zone out the local report . When that was your whole reason for putting it on in the first place.

No you are not alone. My wife tends to do the same. So I ask her, whats the matter dear, the movies too boring? Is this the new level of TV viewing excitement? LOL

I tend to get over zealous and mash the channel button too many times, then when I release it, it streaks right past the channel I wanted, way past it.LOL! What a fun question!
