I am 5 ft 4 in and 165 lbs.
I am tired of being fat. But I dont eat that much. Before I had my daugther almost 3 years ago I was 130 lbs. But after I had her, I just kept going up. Part of the problem is I am on the depo shot for birth control. But I HAVE to stay on the shot. I dont trust any other birth control.
So how can I lose weight?? Please give specifics.

Yah you can do it. You will have to cut back on the volume of the food you are eating and it will happen. Your body CANNOT maintain fat stores in a shortage of calories.

Ugh, getting OFF of depo would be the BEST thing for you! (and is still only as effective as the pill... 99%)...

But, I'm also trying to lose quite a bit of weight too.

I've been told to:

Cut out ALL sodas.
Drinks LOTS and LOTS of water and green tea.
Cut out Fats and Cholesterol.
Low calorie meals.

Work out at least three times a week for an hour or more.

I'm every so slowly losing a pound here or there but it is depressing, unless I starve myself.

I also know a few guys who lost a LOT of weight following weight watchers.

To be skinny you have to be active and eat right. It's a lifestyle thing, not a diet. Maybe you still eat too much, you can calculate how many calories a day you need and then you'll figure out how much you need to eat.

I don't really like to count calories. My mother, say, eats once a day and does her yoga thing. She seems fit and strong, not anorexic. So you can try that.

here are my suggestions.
only buy healthy snacks and food.
Buy veggies....and chicken... grill /or bake...not fried foods.
Buy alot of fruits to snack on. Drink organic juices or water ....lots of it......no sodas! Bread has yeast and it expands in your stomach...cut down the carbs...pastas have alot of carbs...get wheat pasta its better to digest and healthier for your body.

Also try to walk to run a couple times away. This should help thats what i do. And i maintain my wieght...always...even if i dont' exercise as much. ...good luck honey

Don't worry. You are okay. You need to get into a healthy lifestyle--eat well, exercise, relax, sleep well, drink plenty of water, and be happy :)
