Start a ten-day listing on a Thursday night--that way you get two weekends included, and it will end Sunday night when everyone is home.

I would usually try to make sure it ended on Sunday afternoon. More people have the time to check out your items over the weekend and there is a better chance you will get more for your item if it ends on the weekend.

I always ended my auctions on a Sunday. Giving everyone who has the weekend off time to bid.

post it in numerous categories. If its an expensive item, pay the extra for it to be at the top....it costs $20, but worth it if you have a big ticket item. If you have time, let the auction go for 7 days. Set a reserve if you dont want it to go too cheaply. You're obligated to sell it no matter what without the reserve.

Not during a popular soap, nor long running series! Never ever during a big sports event! Think about when you go looking for stuff on there and then about the kind of people you want to attract to your item. If its for kids, chances are something ending during the day (inside school hours) is best - that sort of idea!

Ohhhhh and never when a free listing day is to end, nor a Sunday as they are known times for the system to crash!!

It was proven that sunday afternoon/night is the best day to start and end an auction because everyone is off work and relaxing. : )
