Lol, don't they come with a packet that tells you how to do it?
Don't be afraid of messing it up... what's the point in having a Rubik's cube if you're not going to play with it? If all else fails, and you really want a solved Rubik's cube, bring it to school and I'm sure someone will know how.

Of course you should! The point of the cube is to mess it up! ;D
You can find a solution on the Internet to teach you how to put the colors back. Try one of these websites. I find them pretty easy to understand:
http://www.learn2cube.com
http://peter.stillhq.com/jasmine/rubikscubesolution.html
And if you just want to get your Rubik's cube solved, here's a website with a program that solves your cube for you:
http://wrongway.org/cube/solve.html
So don't worry about mixing it up! Hope this helps! ;D

Did it come with a little booklet explaining how to solve it? Mine did. I spent over an hour solving it the first time. The book is kind of confusing but keep at it and you will figure it out. Now I can solve it in a couple of minutes. I want to learn another method that can allow me to solve it in less than a minute. Maybe I can work on that during the christmas break.

the Rubik cube is meant for playing so you can mess it up and try to solve it yourself. Try to get all the cubes the same color on one side like purple on one side and yellow, pink, and white on the other sides.

you mess it up and then you try to solve it, it's a brain teaser!!! I want one reeeeeeaaaaallllllyyyyyy bad, your friend messed hers up if you were trying to get it to your perfection. Wat you do is you mess it up and try to get it as it was before!! That's the whole point of a rubik cube is to test your brain!!! It's fun and verry hard.

just have fun. don't worry about doing it right the first time. it's about having fun while trying to solve it. It's one of those, the question is more important then the answer thing.

lol... don't worry about it. Unless they have changed from the early 80's, you can just turn one side half way and then push on the corner square. It pops apart and you can put it back together with the colors back together.

You HAVE to mess it up. Otherwise it's useless. Try this:

You will look like a genius when you finish! Good luck!
