beautiful sounds more meaningful

gorgeous normally refers to a persons looks and how hot they are.

beautiful can cover looks, personality, style etc - the person as a whole

Gorgeous. Maybe because Im still young but that seems to be a huge compliment where beautiful could be applied to almost everyone because everyone is beautiful in some way it might not be lookswise.

Both are wonderful. I love being called gorgeous and beautiful. I like when I'm at work and instead of calling me by my name, he just says "Hello, Beautiful" or "How are you, Gorgeous?" It's so sweet!

I am with most everyone else...beautiful sounds more genuine. Gorgeous is a word usually reserved for hot, sweaty, movie-stars. Not common folk like me.$$$

gorgeous is a very strong word! but I personally think I'm beautiful but not gorgeous, I can live with that :)
