www.amazon.com You can find inexpensive used books in good condition there, and you can set up your own seller account. They take a fee out of each of your sales, but you also get more for shipping than it ususally actually costs, so that you always come out at least slightly ahead. But since you usually get less for a book than you originially paid for it, you don't have a profit to report on your income tax. (Just keep careful records!)
www.alibris.com also has good used books, sometimes ones that amazon doesn't have, but they charge up front to set up a seller account, which amazon doesn't do.

Go to Half.com its run by e-bay and its all about USED items (mostly) some are new, but there are plenty of books there.

bookfinder.com includes many many used books, including half.com. you may do a secondary search on amazon.com, and of course ebay. always bookfinder first to find out what's out there.
