I believe I heard that he may be considering a career in politics when his playing days are over. Do you suppose this is just the beginning of any such career...?

nope, Schilling says a lot of nothing to inflame people, you can bet he knows a lot players have used drugs illegally, but he hasn't said a word of who those players are. Still entertaining and thought provoking,

Clemens fans are the only ones burned, which is silly, as there is a bright steroid use line where Clemens went heavy into drug use in 1997, just as there is a bright steroid use line where Bonds starting using drugs illegally in 1999.

If everything he was saying came from the mouth of someone who is not a player in MLB none of us would have a problem with what he is saying. But, because it is coming from Schilling himself many don't like to hear it, especially the players themselves. I don't believe he is campaigning as much as he is venting frustration regarding a downside of the game he loves.

While i dont always agree with what he says,he certainly has a right to say it,and curt's calling out of Clemens is out of dissapointment in him, not to flog him, curt had the utmost respect for Rodger, and is deeply hurt that Roger fooled and robbed us all.

Schilling loves to hear himself talk and it should simply be disregarded by the media/fans; he delivers only noise. He thinks he knows it all and I am sure his fledgling political career may not go as far as that of Lynn Swann or Richard Petty....both lost miserably in major statewide races & quickly fled that arena....or Dan Gable, who was pinned by his own rhetoric before his candidacy could even get onto the mat.

No one...he has just the same right as you or I to give his opinion on the matter...it just so happens that, because of who he is, when he says something more people listen to him than you or I.
