Are you kidding? Why on earth would Pete Carrol leave USC and his salary to become a coordinator in the NFL? That's ridiculous. If he leaves for the NFL it will be for a head coach\ GM position so he has full control over his team.
Brian Stewart was hand picked by Wade Phillips for the defensive coordinator position in Dallas. Jerry Jones will not get rid of him unless Wade gives the Ok... Jerry Jones is not the same maverick owner that 1st came into the league in 1989..

Trying to get Pete Carroll to become the Cowboys Defensive coordinator is going to be a long shot for no one knows if he willing to leave USC as the Head Football Coach. If Jerry Jones gets him, it's a sure sign in the future that Wade Phillips will be out of a job as Head Coach in Dallas.

It could do nothing but help. I mean the cowboys have the potential. I really believe the cowboys just need the right defensive system and pete carrol can do that. He is a great coach who knows how to win and hasnt experienced losing that often. Plus with wade being the head coach, he would let Pete do what he has to (bring in coaches, players etc.) make the D better. With that being said, the cowboys still are my clear favorites to represent the NFC in the superbowl. GO COWBOYS!!!

back in the late 80's he was the head coach of the Patriots who were owned by the Sullivan family. After several years Pete left the NFL because the owners would not give him the control he needed and issue with the Patriot players of that time. Still, he was a good coach. I doubt that Pete would want to come back to the NFL. Once was enough for him. Besides, who can really coach with Jerry Jones steering.

Pete Carroll is not going to be the Defensive Coordinator for the Cowboys ever. Brian Stewart has already done a great job.

I just can't see Carroll leaving his head coaching position at USC to be a defensive coordinator in the NFL. A head coach somewhere in the NFL I could believe but not a defensive coordinator.

Pete Carroll has the best job in college football.
He already turned down a fantastic offer to be HEAD coach of the Dolphins.
There is NO WAY he leaves the paradise he is in to be a DQ for ANYONE.
He may one day bolt to be the head coach of an NFL team, but that is about it.

Why in the hell would Pete Carroll except a coordinator position?
He would be stupid to leave for anything, but a head coaching job. I thought he was going to get the job in San Diego before dipshit got it.

Nope. He tried his hand in the Pros and FAILED miserbaly. He's a college coach, and he'll stay there. He's making far more as the head coach at USC than he'd ever make as a coordinator in the NFL.
