it's a '63 Ford Falcon and on rainy morning when i first start it and drive away it starts to sputter and the gas pedal will be on the floor and i'm barely moving. after about 15 min. it's back to normal but it's dangerous and I'm trying to figure it out.

on dry days it's fine.

Usually it's from moisture on the plug wires and inside the distributor cap causing the spark to jump to ground instead of following the proper path to the plugs....spray the inside and outside of the cap and wires down with WD-40 or replace them.

you may have a cracked distributor cap, moisture can get in there and cause it to spit and sputter.spray a little w-d 40 to make create conductivity.

could be moisture in the distributor, or other electrical item.
