If we're victorious and successful, then we don't need to spend any more "emergency" funds in Iraq and we can bring all the troops home immediately.

Groovy cool!

Terrorism violence is not "down". It is as bad as ever in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is also still bad in France. Watch some news other than FOX and you may get the real picture. Check out foreign news on the Internet.

Also any reduction would also not be "due to involvement in Iraq".

If it is down in the US, that is because the REAL perpetrators of these things have not thought that it is necessary (yet) to give the people another jolt of fear. After all they already got the Patriot Act passed.

You won't see another such act until "they" figure it is time to declare martial law and to completely take away the few Constitutional Rights that are left...which may come in the near future if people get too upset about the state of the economy.

I'm afraid that we will never see this "peace dividend" as it is in the interests of The Powers That Be (Check out "Bilderberg" on the web) to keep things stirred up in perpetual wars.

i do no longer think of everyone contained in the media ignores the fact that violence has been down 80%... I imply, afterall, the place did you get this stat? the subject with the conflict nevertheless being criticized is as a results of the fact there continues to be no longer a political answer for Iraq's government and the Iraqi protection stress. we can throw our very own squaddies and enhance the troop stages (which we've achieved now) yet the place is the top to that? we are static... we won't say that we are going to be there for yet another 10 years or 50 years... this is fairly extreme and it makes it stressful to make a occasion out of the victory because of the fact maximum individuals do no longer see limbo as a victory. the squaddies are continuously being commemorated... as a count of fact, the media is fairly careful to no longer criticize the troops (and grievance is mandatory; the two solid and undesirable). definite, the president and the Pentagon has continuously been criticized because of the fact they have mismanaged this conflict.... the media is purely doing their interest by potential of doing that. and not using a answer there's no longer a success, there is in basic terms a stale mate. some human beings (such as you) could see that as a victory... maximum folk of people do no longer. The media is purely reflecting maximum folk of united statesa..

Unfortunately the war on terrorism will never be over until the rest of the world gets involved and shows we mean business, or when they whizz off the Israelis and Israel makes a nuclear wasteland of the terrorist countries. Another scenario may be when the liberals buddies detonate a dirty bomb in the New York harbor or San Francisco harbor (of course the liberals will blame Presidents Bush), maybe then the liberals will finally get the idea that their beloved terrorist don't like them either!

Before we liberated Iraq, unemployment rate in Iraq was 3%, now unemployment is 60%. Electricity was available 24/7 now they are getting electricity 2 hours a day. Before we liberated them, children used to go to school, now 85% of the school age children don't have schools to go to.
We really improved their lives. And the whole world hates us.

Terrorism and violence are not down because of our involvement in Iraq. Life is marginally better there than last year, but terror and violence still persist.

Even Bush has said that there's a lot left to do in Iraq so I don't know why you're trying to make it sound like we had a definite crushing victory there.
