Subject: Marketing and Advertising GAPTIDINGS AD / Yahoo! Answers
To: custserv@gap.com

To whom it may concern,

I just wanted to drop a line concerning your "Gaptidings" ad that is running incessantly on Yahoo! Answers. Now, I have been a customer of your company for years, but this ad, in all of it's overbearlingly irritating glory, has driven me completely mad and insured that I will never again set foot in a Gap store again.
Please be assured that the sentiment is shared by many other Yahoo users as well, so you can chalk this ad campaign up as a complete sucess!

Thank you for your time,
A Disloyal FORMER customer,
FooFoo DaBunniest V

yahoo. We always want to know how our advertising is being received,

will continue to let us know how we are doing.

Sincerely,

good for you. Tell them I agree.
You do have some spelling mistakes..

overbearlingly should be overbearingly

insured, in this context, should be ensured (in British English at least - maybe it's different if you're in the US)

sucess should be success

To be honest, as annoying as the ads are, your letter isn't going to change anything. They are a big name company that makes a lot of money and they aren't going to care if they lose 1 customer over their ad. Those ads work and they are going to continue to use them.

I do agree that they are annoying (thought that I would add that). I am sure that you feel better after writing and I guess that is what is really important.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

Am i just oblivious? I've never seen a gap ad here!

Then again, i use firefox with ad/script blocker...

But even at work with none of that protection and Internet explorer i dont recall seeing these ads.

I would suggest making it a little more professional by writing your REAL name in the letter, not your YA handle.

**EDIT**
I just saw the ad! I didnt know it "talked" because i dont have sound at work, and my home computer blocks it! man that WOULD be annoying!!

success has two c's and while I love the usage of the word overbearingly I think I agree with the other answer that said it isn't really a word, but it gets the point across, so your choice.
I hate when that ad pops up, I can't turn my volume down fast enough.

Ms. Foo Foo.. you know, as well as I know.. that this has gone WAY TOO far a simple letter.. all I have to say is that, give Styles Gagan the word, and we can roll down to GAP HQ and settle this.. bunny and Indian to damned clothing store corporation..

Umm.. word... to their mothers??

Perhaps something should be said about how it has scared Shrunken Fro a few times causing undue stress.

"insured that I will never again set foot in a Gap store again."
-You used again twice.
"complete sucess"
-There should be another c in success.
