my company said they found bullets in the parking lot so they search everybody at work and cut the lock off there lockers

The founding fathers of the United States didn't want us to have a King or a Queen. Doesn't it suck that it only applies to the government?
Business owners are like royalty and their employees are like the peasants!
You are always hearing stories of people being fired for smoking, gaining weight, failing some random test or being subjected to a search that would be illegal under civil codes without a warrant.
Yes, they can do it. But is it fair?

In the case you described were YOU afraid that someone was going to kill YOU? That would make a difference on how you would perceive the apparent search for a weapon.
It's a complicated world we live in and trying to make everybody happy usually ends up making us all miserable.

It's their property so they can do pretty much anything they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.
