There are so many.....

The slow, agonizing death that has already been mentioned, going from healthy and able to do anything I desire to being in pain constantly and unable to enjoy the beauty life can bring.

Another, that our society, by ignoring environmental concerns, the marginalized, the hungry and those in need, will bring about it's own downfall by failing to adress the harsh realities of our world, all the while polishing the brass of a sinking ship by continuing to put too much importance on the superficial and the ultimately inconsequential.

Uncontrolled falling from almost any height. I've gone bungee jumping (controlled) but couldn't walk on a deck railing once because I was afraid to fall.
