Probably because what is touted as "conservativephilosophy" these days isn't--its a right-wing agenda promoted by extremsts. Conservativism--the real thing--used to be a rational approach, and included fiscal responsibility, a respect for the constitution and individual liberty, and a strong (sometimes too strong!) aversion to getting involved in the affairs of other countries (plus a lot of other things, of course).
It is a philosophy that you may not entirely agree with--but it does make sense. It also bears little resemblance to the extremist ideology of the neoconservatives.

Which ones?
- actually keeping the money one earns? And not punishing those who work harder and make more money.
- taking responsibility for one's actions - sexual, relationship and financial?
- choosing which less fortunate persons to help via charity (rather than forced taxation).
- believing that the government shall not decree one religion to be "official" and that includes atheism.
- expecting all persons to abide by the laws of this country.
There are parts of the conservative philosophy with which I disagree, but I think I'd rather have the above and work on the other issues, than embrace the liberal views on the above issues.

Because conservatives are pro-America and we are worlds apart. The hidden agenda of liberals and their push and belief that their form of "the new communism" is best for America makes us true Americans want to puke. You anti-Americans have supported every enemy of ours for decades, starting with "Uncle Joe" and the communists and now "Osama Bin Laden" who recently replace Fidel Castro as the darling of the left.

Because you aren't a conservative.
To conservatives, liberal philosophies don't make sense.
Most people have a hard time understanding ideologies they don't believe in themselves.

They don't make sense to me either. To me they're trying to apply old school answers to the modern world. Old school doesn't cut it any more. Time for new ideas.
