It depends on what you're looking for in a pet. If you want something trainable and loyal, and don't mind the hard work and expenses involved, a dog is perfect (or a horse, if you have the money, time, and land for it). If you want something cheaper and slightly easier to look after, something like a rabbit or guinea pig is good, or if you want a more exotic pet, try a budgie. I recently bought a pair, and they're wonderful (noisy, but wonderful)! :) There are many other choices as well, but I hope that helps give you an idea of what to get!

A snake. They're beautiful creatures and take relatively little looking after. The initial cost is quite high, but well worth it to have a pet that is lovely to look at, cheap to keep, fun to feed, can be left on it's own, can be taken out and, best of all, they give FANTASTIC neck massages, especially the constrictors (the smaller ones, obviously I don't let a 10ft python wrap itself round my neck).
Of course if you're wanting a pet that can return the love you show it then snakes won't fit the bill. Personally that lack of any kind of attachment on the snake's part is part of why I like them so much.

That's up to you and lifestyle. For me I have 4 dogs, 4 cats, 2 fish (zebras), 3 chickens, 1 rabbit and 1 horse. Were do you live, appt/home, land or not, working is so how much, it depends on a lot. Need more info.

I would strongly recommend a Bavarian miniature Dragon. They cost a bit in coal and anthracite but they don't half keep Jehovah Witnesses and other irritants away from your front door. And if it happens to incinerate a burglar nobodies going to believe it happened.

We on questions can't really help you. We all like different types of pets. We don't know your circumstances, you could be living in a one bed-roomed flat or a mansion with massive gardens.

I suppose it depends on what you want in a pet.
We have a Siamese Cat called Bob and he kills us with some of his antics, plus they dont need walking etc.

elephant for me.......failing that get a dog, contrary to beliefs they generally get on well with cats (that is a Labrador etc a pit bull would be a bad idea).

a dog, as they are enjoyable pets as they are very affectionate. they also bring fun and enjoyment into your life as you can do something with them compared to animals that are low maintenance

hope this helped
