Ok, ok, Just a couple of points here.

First the US Government can't print-money, that's a thing of the Federal Reserve. Which has been a private Bank with total control of the nations money supply since 1913.

Second 'Sway_27' It is true that they take your money form your pay checks, but it is used to pay of the interest for loans from the Federal Reserve!

Are you all so blind!

Jennifer H are you a believer or a seeker of knowing?

Start here and then go down the rabbit whole.

ADDED
Now I will return to the Question in hand.

Which is "print-money to fund killing people, why can't they do so to save them?"

To be rich you must have poor!
To be very rich you need a lot of poor.

The solution to the problem would remove the control that those, who have the capacity to start the ball rolling and to drag Humanity out of the social dark ages, have over the mass.

But when you're eating cake, you don't care about the hunger of the mass, just as long as you have the cake, you can eat that of the others, and still have yours.

I have thought this same thing for a while now. Bush wants an unending spending limit on killing people in Iraq but refuses to OK a health care bill. Just further proof how out of touch he is with the American people. I bet if we made political offices voluntary, with minumum wage pay only, 100% of the politicians would quit. But we would have people in those offices that are only there because they care and not just for the money & benefits.

Erm, the money is printed...goes into a stack - and sits there till someone uses it...not the fault of the money.

Ok then, for all you 'I did economics as a major' answerers:

Why does the government take poor people's money to fund wars and tax everybody in general for the same reason? They could easily do the same for social justice.
('I dunno' , said the president's man and the chief of the federal reserve).

You have to be plain with the uptight crew Sophiaseeker.

I have to agree.

We can make money to give to other countries. we have in the past. making all this money to kill and make big bombs is lame. We should make the money to provide food and healthcare more then war.

I don't believe the hwole "they are only allowed to make so much a year" crap.

They are the government they can make however much they want. a buck is a buck.

Hey, Sly you forgot to point out the obvious!

Killing people is much more profitable!

And then there's the contracts for rebuilding and rearming.

Business is Business after all.

That's not why they print money. Have you ever taken an economics class?
