If you are are a hot fudge sundae lover like us, you know what I mean. That rich dark chocolate fudge sauce, poured piping hot over rich vanilla creamy smooth ice cream, whipped cream and a cheey of course for garnish. The famous CC Browns tin Hollywood hat served these exact rich treats went out of business unfortunately, so we need some recommendations. Thanks for your help and referrals

I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but if you're jonesin' for a pretty good hot fudge sundae, go to California Pizza Kitchen. I know, I know. Crazy, right? Well they have a pretty damn good sundae, and an even better hot fudge brownie sundae. Their caramel and hot fudge are really thick and yummy. And they use Haagen Daz french vanilla (?) ice cream that is very tasty and not watery and gross. I sometimes just swing by to get dessert!

Good luck!

Does it have to exactly be Los Angeles? If you drive a few exits east, there's Fosselman's Ice Cream in Alhambra (On Main Street, just east of the Target shopping center). The ice cream is ultra-premium 16% butterfat. Nothing hoity-toity, though, but by golly, the sundaes are to die for!

There's a Dewar's ice cream parlor inside the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. Dewar's is a famous ice cream and candy shop in Bakersfield, and they brought their ice cream to the El Capitan. The sundaes here aren't as good as the Dewar's parlor in Downtown Bako, but they're still excellent.
