Answering ur last Q, i would estimate that
for the average,kind and normal person,the
ratio would be,how shall i say,' beyond them'!
Not that they would be any-the-less good or
even better, for being unable to calculate it.
But i also think that we all do a rather 'rough'
and almost too instantaneous calculation of
other people,normally based upon our previous experience of different types.
Although this could be faulty,i will not say
more here. I will say that undoubtedly some
more-or-less enterprising person or teacher
(possibly a mathematician)would work out
the solution to ur question(s);
And i'd like to warn any readers that such a
solution is highly likely to be a darwinian one! Just because,as neo-darwinism is still
the current and overarching (moral and factual)Theory of our day,so to speak;And
even the (small minority) fittest ones(darwinians)may be concidered, Kind,Honerable,Good,Helpful and generous!

We can't get an honest ratio because the thing that makes jerks jerks is the thing that makes them post more than non-jerks and that makes them post more during holidays, namely, the 'There is nothing I don't know and if you claim to know something I don't know, you are a jerk (yes, they use the word too) .
The shy, teachable, salt-of-the-earth type doesn't tend to rain on everybody's parade like the true jerk does.

Here, maybe some Bible verses will help illustrate my opinion. . .

Romans 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Everyone has lied, everyone has stolen.
If it weren't for the consequences restraining them, everyone would kill people. . . they murder in their minds and hearts. . .
No man (or woman, duh) is basically good

So, thats the technical answer. But I do know what you mean, and so my other answer:

Ratio of helpfull people to jerks on Yahoo! answers:
One and one half to one and one half.
Most people will be jerks if you go to certain subjects. . .
including me, I have a tendency to go overboard when ranting about politics. . .Some people are jerks all the time. . . and some people have sweet, tender, Christian dispositions.

Kindness is not the most prominent fruit of the Spirit in my life. . . and that is one of my many faults.

Don't call me a jerk, you asked the question. . .
=)

I'm reasonably kind, reasonably honourable and reasonably good. I am a natural born helper and meddler (Social Worker and Care Manager for 26 years)
Unfortunately, I am a post-menopausal woman, therefore, low in oestrogen and a bit high in attitude.
Or, as my grand-daughter once said "Don't mess with my *Groni when she's been at the whisky"!
* Granny Roni.

There are more generous, good, and right thinking people out there than you can imagine. I've read so many answers to questions that are placed.
So many people just put their vitriol here on this site ,because they are sad individuals who take great pleasure in seeing their own sad spiteful views on line...It makes them feel important..
Fear not, Lot's of people really DO care...

I believe that I am. But I also know that I'm not wise enough to be so all the time. On here I try to give the best answers I can most of the time, but occasionally I'm in a bad mood, or a silly mood and my answer will reflect that. I'm also known to jump on my high horse at times too, but hey we all have our flaws don't we?

I don't consider myself kind, honorable, good human being, I know that I am all of that because I love myself and I love myself because of the above.
