He looked through the fridge for some breakfast. He spotted some spaghetti leftovers and invented a ‘pasta sandwich’. He was so hungry that he ate it like the tiger he’d watched on Discovery channel. He decided to make the best of his mum’s absence, so he put on his heelys, played ‘Hotel California’ on the stereo, and started a solo game of ‘skate-ball’ in the living room. It was a really cool game. He wished he could one day teach it to his idol, Ben Wallace, so they could play together. Just as he was getting good at it, he tripped and the ball slipped from his hands bouncing against the library. He watched terrified as the thick encyclopedia fell down, landing on his mum’s favourite vase. He panicked for a bit but then calmed down. He’d just do what he always did; blame it on his mute weird cousin.

Yesterday my weird cousin, Ben Wallace, had a craving for spaghetti. He lives in California, so the weather was perfect for skating to the Italian restaurant in his heelys. Unfortunately for Ben, some idiot had left the T-volume of Encyclopedia Brittanica open to the entry for "tiger" right on the sidewalk, and he went sailing through the air. Fortunately, he landed in the doorway of the restaurant, and was able to get a life-saving helping of spaghetti.

SURFER DUDES
Hi. My name is BEN WALLACE and I live in San Diego, CALIFORNIA. My WEIRD COUSIN, “Weird Al,” and I love to have “fun, fun, fun” in the warm California sun--us, and the Beach Boys!! We surf mostly, but also enjoy skateboarding. As you can see, with us it is all about action, with a little danger thrown in, to make it interesting. We hate to sit still. After all, you are only young once!! Hang gliding is fun too when we can afford it. Ain’t nothin’ like soaring through the air on a clear sunny day--just us, and the birds, Baby!!
Other times, we just like to put on our HEELYS and walk, run and roll around the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park. It is the best zoo in the whole world because the animals are displayed in open-air habitats--not caged like at most zoos. In fact, the only major exhibition building there is the Reptile House..We only duck in there if it rains. Hate snakes!! We can’t decide which we like better—the TIGERS or the penguins. Of course, our day wouldn’t be complete without riding on the overhead gondola. What a view!! (Besides, it is the quickest way to move between opposite ends of the zoo!!)
Sometimes, after spending a day at the zoo, we will even check out some of the various species of animals on display in an on-line ENCYCLOPEDIA called “Wikipedia.” We don’t talk about this though. We wouldn’t want to tarnish our reputation of being Surfer Dudes.
After one of our typical action-filled days, we always think the perfect ending is to go to Mama Rosa’s Bistro. We always order the same thing—SPAGHETTI for Weird Al, and lasagna for me, with a side of garlic bread. It just doesn’t get any better than that!!

I have this cousin named Ben Wallace. We all call him the weird cousin, because of this weird white spot he has in his hair. He was born in California. I forgot the name of the town, but you can probably look it up in the encyclopedia. Whenever he comes to visit my mom always makes him spaghetti, it's his favorite. Last time he came to visit me he brought my some heelys with tiger stripes on them. It was the coolest present he has even given me.
