I recently bought a new shirt to wear for New Years Eve. It's a purple-coloured halter with sequins lining the neckline. The problem is, I have absolutely no idea what I pants I should wear with it. The halter itself is fitted around the chest area but loose at the bottom (flares out) and falls about 5 inches above the knees. Any ideas? (Also, I can't wear jeans with it 'cause the dress code for that evening is semi-formal). Thanks!!!!!

i suggest black skinny pants or, if you want to be very daring, wear silver skinny pants...only if you're very, very daring...

Black Leggings! & for shoes you can either wear boots that are below your knee, nothing over! Blues, yellows and greens go well with purple. Depends on how funky or retro you would like to get :]. & if you would like to use any of those colors, a clutch with a bright color like that would look great.

I would wear leggings, preferebly a black texture pair with knee high leather or suade black boots. Don't wear a necklace...do simple earings, a black bangle bracelet, and a ring.
Trust me...you'll look fabulous.
The boots will dress the leggings up and you'll look high class.

I'm with Sarah. A knee length red skirt would look good. Sheer black nylons and purple or red heels would be nice too.
