well the red wings are off to another hot start, but how far are the dynamic wings going to go? will the starts yet again fail to shine when needed most?

Price - they did lose to the Blues last night - but they have only lost seven so far this season. As far as winning against their division, they will come around. They are 19 points ahead of the number 2 team. Check out the +/- on the team!
As far as not making the finals yet again - they have 3 of the last 10 cups. How many do they need to win for them not to be accused of "failing to shine"?
They'll make it to the finals.

The Cincinnati Reds are a hockey team? Or did the '80s era USSR team morph into the Red Wings of the '00s? I thought there were more Swedes on the Dead Things than any other Euro nationality now.
The "dynamic" Wings? They are not exactly the Flying Frenchmen or air hockey '80s Oilers.
Will the starts? What?
Anyway, I think they have a shot but it all comes down to goaltending be it Osgood's 1998-like revival or Hasek returning to all-world prime form.

Wings can't win in their own Division. Who says they're making the playoffs? So frustrating
I was very disappointed last night to see them lose to a division rival again. They are 20-1-1 against teams outside of their div, but that only make up half of the season (42 games). 5-6-2 where it counts.
EDIT : division games only consist of 32 games, not 40. but still The Red Wings are lucky to play so well outside of the division. If they start slumping there, may Lord Stanley have mercy.

They played very well last year in the playoffs until they ran into the Ducks who ended up winning it all. In fact they were probably the 2nd best team last year behind the Ducks.
The Wings are good but everybody expects them to go to the finals every year. Its not gonna happen for any team.

How a team that has won 3 Cups in the last 10 seasons ever got branded as a bunch of chokers, I will never know.

yep and i'm glad too, unfortunately the wings have the same trouble my stars have in the playoffs, a real strong season and then flop, although the wings do make it further than we do

They lost to the Blues last night, it doesn't look like they'll even make the playoffs if that keeps up! LOL
