Do you think maybe that Christmas would go so much better if there was Not the running around shopping and picking up stuff before a deadline day?

Maybe a better way would be if we gave each other gifts when we wanted to during the whole year. That way it would be less stress and less of a financial drain and we could actually Think about what gift someone would really like..? :)

This is why I prefer Thanksgiving. There’s no gift giving, so I don’t feel that I have to spend money to prove that I love my family and friends.

I give presents to my boyfriend all year. It can be something as trivial as some cool bike socks (Sock Guy makes some great ones), or whatever.

I agree with you in that it would be better to give gifts all year round, instead of picking one day to spend money on people.

I already do that. I buy the nieces and nephew clothes and school supplies throughout the year. They still get Christmas gifts but I don't feel the pressure to spend big. And I give the best gift.. my time.. museums and parks.. we are going to see the Titanic display in a week or two.

Thailand is a Buddhist country, that does not celebrate Christmas. I put up an artificial tree and that is the extent of my Christmas celebration.

But then there wouldnt be a christmas. I guess its just that people dont want to do that because its just not... how it works and we dont want to have to worry about things we dont want to worry about. I think it would be cool though!
