Why is it MEN's fault that WOMEN use their Beauty as POWER?

This is based on a previous question of similar topic. The answers given by women claimed that men GIVE these women the power.

If thats the case... why do women complain about abuse from men?.. don't they GIVE these men the power? When they get raped.... don't they GIVE the rapist the power?

What kind of logic is that? Men don't GIVE women any power. The focus should be on the fact that women miss use their power of beauty... not on why they are allowed to do it. If people would just do the right thing in the first place.. no one would have to STOP anyone from doing the wrong thing. Savvy?

It's both sides' fault: women for using it, and men for falling for it for so long.

Men allow for the typing of women. The beutiful ones use their beauty to get what they want because someone in their past has allowed them to do so. Us ugly women just try to make due with what we have. We are talking about the mental image and what men feel they need in their lives. With the rape and abuse, that is to an extent condoned by the women's mental state as well, however, random acts are all about the physical power a man has over the woman not a mental holding. I can say that because I have been in the abusive situation and got out of it on my own. I was lucky enough to have a stable family that supported me, or I may still be in the situation or fighting to get help from authorities that don't always respond to these domestic situations as needed.

You can't compare a moral situation to a legal situation, such as robbing a bank. Is it morally wrong for women to use their looks to get ahead? In my opinion yes. However, if men thought with more than their penises it wouldn't work.

So, yes it is the males fault for letting women use them, they also don't learn, but women do it also.

Ok, no lets rephrase the question because banks don't LET you rob them. Lets compare a woman to some person in Nigeria hunting for credit card numbers. Now, a person wins the fake lotto, they give their bank info and they lose all of their money. Is that their fault? No, they were uneducated.

But, then next month the same person gets an e-mail that they are now only heir to a massive fortune, this person again gives up the info and looses everything they have AGAIN. Is it their fault? It is starting to look that way...

Now, by the 20th time they have been scammed, really, it is no longer the nigerian scammers fault, it is the person being scammed for not going, hey, I am getting scammed... perhaps i should just stop opening my e-mail, haha.

Now men win the nigerian lotto multiple times a day in the form of a cute busty woman and do what they can to try and get that lotto, and for some reason, they never get the payout, yet they just keep falling for it.

As far as the Rape thing, no woman asks to be raped.... it is usually a power thing by men, but it can also be just a sexual deviance. However, real rapists don't choose women because they are wearing provocative clothes... they choose women on a set of features, usually a pattern. It is rare for the hot chick to get raped just because she has on a small skirt, harassed yes, but not raped.

Why would you expect reasoning from these people? They are the same ones who claim men are exploiting women who pose for nude magazines, but excuse the woman for posing for them because she's likely poor and needs the money. Well, if that were true about her needing the money, then how is it exploiting her by giving her a means to make it? And if the magazines were put out of business like those women want, then where is this poor woman going to get money from?

They simply want it all, which is constantly at the crux of it. They want all of the positives without having the negatives. They want without having to pay the price or take responsibility. That's for the men to do, in their eyes.

And you can compare a moral situation with a legal situation, unlike what one poster writes. The reason the legal situation is illegal is because it is immoral. Actions which have been deemed by a society to be immoral are made illegal by that society. The two go hand in hand.

We live in a superficial world where beauty is looked at as power. It's an unfortunate thing but it's true. Not everyone does this. How many times have you seen a beautiful girl getting bought a drink at a bar? Or getting perks of some sort?? Women wouldn't be able to misuse the power of their beauty if men didn't let them. And we DON'T give rapists power AT ALL!! That's a whole different story. So I guess in a way, men do give the women the power to use their beauty as an advantage..... Sad but true.

I didnt read ur previous question but women dont GIVE the rapist power nor do they give men the power. Women who are scared and who dont know how to stand up for themselves claim that when they get beat it's becuz they husband has the POWER and thats not true. But ur right if people would just do the right thing in the first place then no one would have to stop the bad from being done.

Actually, men DO let women use their beauty. They're not helpless victims here. Your average woman can't fend off a rapist, but a man could refuse to succumb to beauty.

And what about women who are naturally beautiful, and don't deliberately try to use it to gain advantages? If men still give her advantages, it's not her fault. She can't be equated with a rapist; she didn't DO anything besides exist. Men shouldn't complain about beautiful women having power if they are the ones who willingly GIVE them that power....

And no, women don't give rapists power. Rapists take what they want against the woman's will. That is not at all equatable with a beautiful woman, especially if the man is all too often WILLING to give her advantages.


Anyway, while I believe that this is men's fault, I also believe that this is women's fault. As I see it, they share the blame equally. As I said in another question, it's one thing for a woman to simply be beautiful. It's another thing entirely for her to be beautiful and try and use it to her advantage to manipulate men. There's nothing wrong with the former, but the latter is shameful and manipulative and wrong.

Is a shared responsible.... Indeed no one. I mean, is a structural construction of the world. In the past, women are only persons who are prepared to get marriage, in order to be succesful on this goal, u only have to be pretty. So, is bad to contribute to be evaluated only for our body and face, using this "power", and is worst to take advantage of that situation as man, giving more oportunities to a woman just because she looks good.
I would say, since we, girls, are very young, people told us the prettier the better, the more succesful, the more oportunities I have. In the oposite, boys grow up thinking to be hard worker and smart is enough.

I believed that the initial question had to do with men being taken in by the beauty of women - so much so that the women truly had 'power' over them. In that spirit, I stick by my answer that men have no one to blame but themselves if they hand over power to a woman simply because she is outwardly beautiful.

The subsequent questions have devolved into discussions regarding physical power, which I believe to be a very different thing. But I will agree that any woman (or man) who remains in a physically abusive relationship is also guilty of handing over power to one who does not deserve it.
