Now, there are a LOT of strong opinions about politics. Sometimes I think this should be called "Yahoo Opinions" instead of "Answers"
My question is.....do you dislike one canidate enough to give up something personal of your own to make sure they didn't get elected?
For instance: Would you shorten your life 3 months, if it meant a politician would not get elected? Would you give up your car? Your 2 week vacation? Your dog?
What I'm asking is how personal the presidental election is, and how important it is to you that a certain canidate does NOT get elected?

Bwana- If you'd give up more to see the socailist systems removed from our government, isn't it equally as important to make sure we don't have a canidate that supports MORE socialist systems?

RKO, I don't support pulling out of this war immedietly, and I respect the need to keep ourselves safe from terrorism, so I don't support Ron Paul. I do however like others on your list. Great answer

I'd gladly give up three months of my life, my car, a two week vacation or my dog IF it would absolutely, positively GUARANTEE that NONE of the front-running candidates were elected.
Politicians are all the same. They lie, cheat, steal, and con us all out of our lives; they squander our money like drunken sailors so that we can't afford cars or vacations; and they pass so many god damned laws it's impossible to know whether you're even allowed to have a dog!
On the other hand, I'd also gladly give up three months of my life, my car, a vacation or my dog IF you could absolutely, positively GUARANTEE that Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, Colin Powell, John McCain or H. Ross Perot would be elected.
They'd probably see the rational, economic sense in ending this trillion-dollar 'war'; they'd probably turn the economy around so I could afford a car or a vacation, and they'd probably abandon all the insane 'laws' stupid "Republicrats" have passed over the years so that I could own a dog without fear of violating some idiot legislation.

Holy crap i can't believe i'm the first one with this response!
Mitt Romney, the guy looks the part, but can't help but stumble over his own words everytime he talks. He won't take a stance on anything! If people are pleased with President Bush, they should vote for Romney, i guarantee he wouldn't listen to a damn thing the people of this country say, just like the crook that's been in office for the last 7 years.

I'd give up much, much more to prevent universal health care and to get rid of the socialist entitlement welfare state programs. Those are unacceptable and unconstitutional burdens upon our children.
