We don't have sex and none of my friends are gay. I sleep on the couch, but it still feels kind of awkward.

Umm. Strange question. Do you make plans to stay over and sleep in the same beds? Do you stay up and watch scary movies? I'm not sure we are given enough information here.

I used to stay at friends houses after a night of drinking and throwing darts. Now, due to distance and the late hour, my husband and I stay at friends houses b/c we've been playing Wii games all night, and and it's just safer to drive home in the morning.

I'm just not we are given information on how you sleeping over at friends houses...

Added: If you are not spooning and having sex and sleeping in the same bed - as others have said, then no, it is not gay.

Nah man, don't sweat it. Really, thats what friends are for! And, if you end up drinking at their place, then sleeping there is the responsible thing.. I have had lots of friends that come over, hang out late night, and just crash on my couch instead of drinking home.. nothing wrong with it..

Just do everyone a favor and don't sleep there 2 nights in a row or longer... that just gets kinda annoying..

No. Unless ya'll sleep in the same bed and take a bubble bath together....that would probably be gay. But there's nothing wrong with sleeping on your friend's couch.

No, it isn't gay unless you tell yourself it is. I can be 21 and still be sleeping with a huge teddy bear. Would I call myself retarded? I don't think so. You see dearie, at the end of the day, all that matters is how we look at things. We make the world, not others.

When did the word gay become a pejorative? If the friend lives next door it might be weird, but if the friend lives an hour away or something then no.

No way, , its kinda just something that you'll eventually stop doing but its only because your having lots of fun with your mates and just want it to carry on as long as it can (which inevitably means you end up crashing on the sofa) have fun mate you only live once enjoy the youth lol,

Back in my drinking days, it wasn't really an option for me. When they drank at my place, I required them to sleep on the couch for safety's sake.

No it's not gay. I used to stay over my friends all the time when I used to get f%*ked-up. I recently grew out of the whole getting f%*ked-up thing, as well as my "friends" lives.

I guess it depends on the circumstances. Pajama party, yes. Passed out drunk or temporary homelessness, no.

EDIT: As others have pointed out, it's not "gay" in the traditional sense...but we all know what you meant, regardless of whether or not we approve of the language (I don't care).
