Alimony does not follow set guidelines like child support. The judge considers factors like length of marriage ( usually the most important factor), the income of both parties, and your ability to earn income. Alimony is usually limited to a certain period of time. For example, your husband might have to support you until you complete your education in order to become gainfully employed. Be aware that awarding alimony is not very common - especially if the marriage was short and you are still young enough to receive training and get a good job. There are just too many mitigating factors to give you a set percentage in this answer. Only your lawyer can advise you.
