Is ecstasy really ever cut with heroin? or is that just an urban myth?

i know that it's rarely ever pure MDMA and that it's often cut with ephedrine and amphetamines, but is heroin really ever present? i've never done E and never will, but my husband and I were discussing it last night and neither of us know. I tried getting on Erowid.org, but the site appears to be down and I didn't find much info elswhere.

Heroin is much more expensive than MDMA.
It would be bad business for a dealer to use it for cutting.

I don't know for certain, but dealers cut heroin with all sorts of things like powdered milk. I would doubt a lot that they would cut E with heroin. Ephedrine, such as that found in Pseudophed, is used to MAKE meth, which is amphetamines, so they probably wouldn't use something like that to CUT anything. If E is cut with anything, it would be with something cheap like powdered sugar or something like that, not another drug. That's not to say somebody wouldn't mix E with something else for a bigger jolt. But, that's not cutting.

There is literally no way to know what might be in any illegal substance. There could be anything from heroin to bleach and beyond mixed into any drug. There is no kind of regulation, anyone can produce it, and they are going to operate in the most convenient manner possible. They could mix drugs in order to develop a reputation for having the best and thereby sell more, or they could add bc powder to make the quantity appear larger.
