The vinegar trick works, but use bicarbonate of soda instead, its less smelly.
Or:
Cut the lemon in half.
Squeeze the juice into a microwaveable dish or container and mix with roughly 300ml (1 1/4 cups) of water.
Microwave the mixture. Place the container in the microwave, put the power on max for 5-10 minutes (allowing the steam to condense on the walls and roof of the oven).
Wipe out the microwave. Once the time is up, carefully remove the bowl. Grab a soft dishcloth and wipe that microwave out with unparalleled ease.
Stand back and admire the results of your easy effort. Your kitchen will also smell fresh and clean.

I put a bowl of water in the microwave and heat it for 4-5 minutes and it will help moisten all the gunk that get stuck on the inside. Then I spray the softened gunk with some Mr. Clean and wipe with some paper towels and it's as good as new!

Take a couple wet paper towels and put them in your microwave. Nuke for about 30 seconds. That should do the trick.

1 pint cold water with a chopped up old lemon in it. 10 mins in the microwave on high. Smells nice when you're done. I use any old dried up lemons that are past their prime. Waste not, want not.

If you don't want to use the water in the bowl, spray some windex or other cleaning stuff on it and let it set for a minute or two. That should take care of it.
