I have 5 boys, and all of the due dates changed after the initial consultation visit. They only base that off of what you tell them as far as your last period date. After you start your regular visits, they can get a better idea of your due date. Many things can change as you go along. IT is not an exact thing, as everyone is different you see. That is the way God made us.....Different ;o)

Youre due date is only 5 days off, which in the pregnancy world is not that much. They do not change your official due date unless it is more than a week off. Plus the due date is not the most exact thing anyway. With my first pregnancy I had about 4 due dates from different docs and ultrasounds and they wre all within a week of each other.
You may just be smaller because the baby is smaller or because you are more active is you have other children. My second pregnancy I was much smaller and the doc was actually concerned a bit. I measured 31 weeks at 34 week exam so they did an u/s. Baby was fine - small and just didn't have a lot of room, but normal.

My due date changed with all of my kids after the first ultrasound. The reason is that, while each woman has the same "basic" ovulation pattern, two women with 28 day cycles that start menstruation on the same day may actually ovulate up to a week apart. The first date they give you is based on the "ideal" menstral cycle taught in health class. Because you have irregular periods your ovulation schedule is also fluid and may differ month to month. Ultrasound measurements of key body parts can more accurately pin down possible time of conception and length of gestation.

the ultrasound could be wrong too. my first my old dr said 25th of feb. acccording to my LMP it would be like the 12th then on the second ultrasound it said the 15th and the 3rd said the 14th. so I'm going with the 14th. although i believe its still the 12th or even sooner becuz at 24 weeks the baby weighed 2lbs 4oz. which would put it at like 5lbs or more right now. and i'm 32 weeks and a day.
with my first which i just had this year last feb. lol her due date was the first one the 20th. then he said the 25th and i went into labor on the 17th and had her on the 18th.

Your given due date is always give or take 5 days.
determined by first day of last period is the least correct way; where as ultrasounds are more correct.
My first due date was 2/11 determined by the first day of my last period....which if I ovulated on a 28 day cycle, I didn't have sex that week.
After the ultrasound they changed my due date to the 19th, which was almost a week later, counting back I did have sex that week....all of which means I ovulate a week later than the the average 28 day cycle.

I guessed on my date of conception and i was due July 4 bogger was born July 7 doctors can be pretty accurate with an ultrasound keep in mind there is an early early gestation period and women are really pregnant for 10 months but its considered 9 because a month of it isn't detected and sperm can live up to three days in your body so your dates may be right on and you body made the timing. or they could have a full schedule and that is the only day your OB could preform the C section.

They got my dates wrong too and I just came off the pill. I said I knew the date of conception but they ignored it, said I was 6 wks pregnant and I was actually 7 1/2 wks! The 12 wk scan cleared it up and the nurse explained it was due to the pill as they take the first day of pregnancy as 1st day of the last period but this is actually a withdrawl bleed not a period!

They probably changed your due date according to your latest ultrasound. I didn't know they waited so late in a pregnancy to do a c-section in pregnancy. Have you been measuring along with your first due date? I am due Christmas Day and according to my ultrasound I was due December 16th, but they wouldn't change the due date. They said it had to be at least a ten day difference. Military doctors have to follow their own set of rules and regulations. I wish you the best of luck and congrats on your baby.

The "regularly occurring" gestaional era for an entire term being pregnant is 32 to forty two weeks. consequently a due date could properly be incorrect by an entire month. A "due date" is basically an estimate of while the little one could desire to arrive. mom nature (or God) comes to a decision while the little one is born no longer scientific technology.

a few days off is fine and normal. ive had 2 ultrasounds done, the first one because i was spotting and i thought i was 17 weeks, and the ultrasound said 11 weeks, so they were off by a whole month putting me at may 3, i went in for my 20 week ultrasound and they put me at may 6 and they said that its normal to get a few days apart. you will be having your little angel soon. i think its normal. good luck with that, and that was funny about what remember me said LOL, i dont think that has anything to do with the price of tea in china

Due dates are an estiamte unless you rarely have sex and truely know what day you did. Its not unusual for it to fluctuate up to two weeks. Maybe you counted wrong, or maybe the dr did. My dr and I are off but only by a few days...I still think my day is more correct than hers but I also know that this baby will come when he is ready!
