Your turtle ethier is not getting enough food or its hibernating that happens to my turtle to but she is still alive try and poke your turtle if it moves it is alive and if it dose`nt move it is most likely dead hope this helps a little bit.

Soak him in lukewarm water. He should come out.
If you keep him indoors, he's not hibernating because it's not cold enough and he won't have enough dirt to dig in.
If he's outdoor, just leave him alone because he is hibernating.
You can smell him if he smells dead...

Well you're going to have to hold him and see. He could be hibernating, but on the other hand he could be dead.

how cold is the area you keep him in? In a cold inclosure turtles will hibrnate. if its nice and warm then yes he has probably passed on.

rigamortis (idk the spelling) has set in (that means he's dead)....it doesn't sound like he's hibernating. they tuck into their shells when hibernating. i have six turtles and none have done that ever. sorry! hope this helps...
