because the CIA thinks that they can do what ever they want, that they are above our representatives in government, and therefore not subject to their rules.

Because the CIA, like all other government bureaucrats, elected officials, and agencies, believes it can do whatever it wants. Our government has long forgotten that it's first function is to be subservient to its citizenry.
"We the People" are supposed to be in charge, but we're too damned busy catching up on Britney Spears' love life or rooting for our favorite football team instead of paying any attention to the corruption and malfeasance going on in our government. -RKO- 12/21/07

O-so you know what was on the videos destroyed. I agree it was not to bright to destroy them, but, the fact is it's not evidence until such time as they are identified by a judge as evidence, until then they are nothing but a bunch of video tapes. The CIA had the legal right to destroy them or keep them as they saw fit to do at the time

The waterboarding is a lot harsher than it sounds on paper, and they would have combined waterboarding with other (as yet undescribed in the public domain) methods.

Because they knew that treasonous elements (Democrats) in the US government would use this evidence that they were doing their jobs to protect us against them in a dog-and-pony show.
