To answer your question, you have to look at the bigger picture. In any given field like nursing, mechanical, or secretarial, there has been a traditional gender employed in each given field. Now that we are in the twenty-first century, things are changing drastically. If a female could bring in high ratings, then we will see a female. Keep in mind that females comedians are just as good as males, so there is not a gender discrimination issue at play. Besides, we often play the gender or race card before looking at the bigger picture. It is simply just a matter of time. Now let me give you a perfect example. Why has there not been a female president in times past? It does not matter, for the time is right for one to run and be successful at this point in time. It is not just about women. Why hasn't there been more minoriteis late night television hosts? Why has there not been any hispanics or asians? Females now make up the larges percentage of television journalists, so adding a late night host is a matter of time. Don't feel like a victim; I can ask similar questions as an African American male.
