Does it bother you at all when you walk down the street and see women covered from head to toe while their husbands are free to choose their style of dress? Does this offend you as a freedom loving American?

Should we ban them?

"It is part of her religion and I start with the assumption that every person follows the rules of their religion because they want to."

Really? And not because they could possibly be killed for not obeying their husband or their religion?

"Wow, you have some issues here. You ask a question then attach the people who answer you.

You asked if we should ban it in America. Now you are talking about the woman being beaten and killed. That's not legal in America. Are you talking about banning it in the US or banning it in other countries.

Figure out your issue and get some help."

Excuse me but you are clearly the one with issues. I was not attacking the guy, I was elaborating further. How you choose to perceive my question is not a reflection of ME but rather, a reflection of YOU and how you view yourself.

The fact that this women is dressed this way does not offend me at all. It is part of her religion and I start with the assumption that every person follows the rules of their religion because they want to.

To ban any type of clothing just because some group finds in oppressive is as stupid as forcing any group to wear a type of clothing. I can see baning it in certain situation when there is a security issue. There are times when people must be identified by their appearance.

As an American, any woman is free to choose their style of dress. This may mean that they are an outcast from their religion and their community. But, nobody said that you don't have to make sacrifices when you exercise freedom.

I don't see why I should be offended by a woman dressing the manner her religion requires. This isn't a new concept. Why are you trying to control how other people live their lives? Why can't you just take care of yourself?

No, it doesn't offend me. It's not a part of my culture but I have absolutely no problem with others practicing theirs; that's the beauty of America. I don't think that they should be banned because, again, the beauty of America is the we have the freedom to practice our individual cultures and religions without fear of persecution.

It doesn't offend me at all. I respect their choices although I don't agree with it and it's certainly not a choice I would make for myself. Merry Christmas. 2D

as an american, i think they (the people that make the rules) should all be flogged and stoned. and in this country the women should NOT be allowed to wear their headgear when getting ID photos. how the hell do we know it is really a woman and not a damn terrorist?? and if they DON'T LIKE IT....go back home and wear the crap!!!! if this sounds harsh.......TOO DAMN BAD
