I can't really wait much longer! I'm making about 14 different kinds.. Mmmmm:) and I have sat aside today (Friday) and tomorrow to do them. But now I'm worrying that it's too early and they'll be stale.

You should be okay if you make the dough today and tomorrow and freeze it; then you can bake it later. If that's not an option, I hear bread will help keep cookies fresh. Put a slice of bread in your plastic container (tin containers tend to make them dry out faster) on top of the cookies and seal it up. When you open them on Christmas day, the bread will be rock hard, but the cookies should be pretty fresh. (I baked on Wednesday night for today, used the bread trick, and the cookies are great!)

definite, it has began yet i'm no longer excited. i think of anybody overlooks the rationalization we've Christmas. Christ replaced into born. All I pay attention till Christmas is communicate of decorations, and presents, what to get so-and-so, how the money is tight, site visitors is purely too heavy, each and all the solid stuff is long previous and that i ask your self what i visit get? I wish as a rustic this year people might forget approximately each and all the hoopla and purely concentration on Christ. It could desire to sadden Christ to work out us rejoice His beginning with all this selfishness that we exhibit. I wish people might pass the presents, and paying for and decorations this year and purely concentration on why we've Christmas. savor relatives and pass to church. Make the Lord experience favored.

In a container, cookies keep their refreshing softness for about a day or 2. After that, then I'd say just put them in the refrigerator. Usually, cold cookies always seem to taste wonderful even though they might seem a little hard, at first.

Of course they'll be okay, for several days in fact. Just be sure not to cook them too long because then they'll only be soft when they first come out of the oven and then they'lll be really hard the days after (though they won't be stale). If you cook them just right they'll be soft and chewy for days! Good luck and happy cooking!

It's not too early, just make sure you put them in freezer ziploc bags and keep them closed. You can even freeze them and thaw them the night before if you like.
