Congressional Democrats have finally tired of fighting for surrender and will pressure Pelosi and Reid to end the battles over Iraq war funding.

Pelosi and Reid, despite their pledges to continue pushing to end the war in Iraq, face growing pressure from their rank-and-file Democrats to focus more attention on domestic, “pocketbook” issues in the upcoming election year.

The last Senate vote on this subject came this week, and only half of his caucus opposed the new Iraq war funding. In the House, 78 Democrats supported the funding measure.

Harry Reid promised instead to have another string of continuous votes on the issue, promising to put the "pedal to the metal".

He may want to check the gas tank first.

What say you?

I say let them continue to argue about war funding, because it keeps them out of economic issues. Nothing is scarier than having our economic policies determined by people like Reid, Pelosi, Charlie Rangel, and Ted Kennedy.

Pelosi and Reid are a disgrace to their party and country. The American people don't want Bush to get by with continuing the war and bankrupting the country.

"Every time congress tried to push something, bush had his veto pen ready. We need money to give to our troops - but damn - there is also money in the funding for Iraqi civilians. But, as soon as congress tried to provide a little bit for American citizens, it became wasteful. What a disgrace"

Correction. They ARE the quagmire in Washington DC. They want to talk about Bush's incompetence in the war on terror, and they are the shining example of incompetence in the government.
