Why isn't my pop- up blocker working on these annoying 'GAP' video splashes now gracing the pages of this forum?
Are there setting I can apply to knock them out, or am I relegated to just dealing with them over and over every time I 'refresh' the page to view and answer new questions?
This is well on its way to making me crazier than usual!!!

I think the dude says "getting high with the family"
I can't believe yahoo approved this commercial.
dumping gas in the ocean and every thing. I'm no prude and have partied a bit in my life, but I just find it ridiculous. there are minors here, even kids at the age of 9 here listening to it.

I run fire fox and have a plug in called noscript.
I found if I forbid yimg.com it blocks the ad.

the people here are right. its a flash app, not really a pop up, but that's just a petty definition..... point is... IT IS ANNOYING

I'd like YAHOO to understand that I didn't like GAP in the first place, but now that they've reminded me of the GAP so much, they've burnt into my mind JUST HOW MUCH I really don't like them and have made it VERY easy to for me to remember that the gap condones polluting the environments, finding it and suggesting it as funny, supports drug use and runs child labor camps in foreign countries.

oh, I think gap was in violation of environmental damages

dear yahoo,
what are you thinking? do you really care about your public image? you're only as good as the company you keep.

Clear your registry.
Get a registry mechanic, $20 bucks, circuit city.
It's a good buy. It clears your system errors.
I believe it rids of those clever installations we don't know about, which I think contributes to the pop-ups, but I'm not completely sure.

Regardless, it makes your computer run smoother. I have it on mine, and I haven't had any problems in performance since I bought it. I've had my computer for two years now.

Hope that helps, atleast a little.

I asked the same question of my husband last night.

Edit:
That's right, the 'Blocker' did not work, but the pop-up sure did.

They're not popups, they're part of the site. Get a script blocker instead of a popup blocker ;)
