I meant to use the standard, 'slip through the clouds on gossamer wings'...when I looked up, I had 'clods'...that was when the spark occurred...

I think that is the case as with any art form. There are no mistakes, only opportunities. "slip through the clods on gossamer wings" Oh, yea, go for it. ;) I once had an art professor who that what is so fabulous about art is that even the mistakes can be amazing. Besides, you are an amazing poet and I'm sure you can make anything work.

That's why it's important to keep making new mistakes. Making the old ones just proves we didn't learn anything.

Mistakes can be funnier than heck that's for sure and you learn a lot at the same time. That is if you can laugh at some of them.

I echo boobaby, sometimes mistakes can be funnier then what we meant to type and it helps if we can laugh at ourselves.

you mean like thinking the words to "Instant Karma gonna get you" by John Lennon was really "Mr. Karma gonna get you"?

I used to go to poetry readings where known mumblers would get up and read their work just so I could mishear them and get ideas!

=D
