I just got it abt 4 months ago. The check engine light comes on and it says "engine power reduced" and while driving the car will slow down from like 70 to 40 mph. And if I have to go up a hill, i can't make it. If I turn the car off and wait a while it will go for a while and then the same thing will happen. Had throtle sensor replaced and that didnt work. now they say its my EGR valve. Could that be it??

Of the codes you provided the most likely cause of these symptoms is the p0107. Depending on what motor you have the diagnostics vary some for this code but they all relate to the MAP sensor. The Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor tells the computer how dense the air is coming into the motor and allows the computer to calculate how much fuel the engine needs at that time to run correctly. If this was sending incorrect information or not responding the ECU cant correctly calculate how much fuel to supply the engine and would make your car go into reduced power mode ( what used to be called Limp In mode) and power and performance would decrease greatly. This lets you know something is wrong with your car that needs to be taken care of ASAP and it also allows the car to continue running when possibly otherwise it may not. The other codes seem to be related to this except the last which indicates a malfunction with your airbag system. while a malfunctioning EGR valve can cause serious driveability problems, like stalling at idle and reduced power under acceleration, it sounds like a more serious problem than that. It wasnt possibly a Evap valve instead of an EGR valve that you were told was the problem was it? That could very well cause what you are describing. A quick way to check that would be to loosen or remove the gas cap the next time you start loosing power. If air sucks into the tank and power returns that would indicate evap problems creating a vacuum in the gas tank, thus starving the engine of fuel.

Doesnt that model have the auto shut off for half the cylinders if it overheats? A bad EGR could cause overheat which would cut power like that.
When you got the codes pulled they didnt tell you what they meant? Autozone will do it for free and tell you what the code is saying. I couldnt find a list of them online, sorry.
U2105--I found a reference to this one as a power steering issue, but even with EPS it seems unlikely that this problem would be related to the steering system.

Sounds like you should go to an auto parts store
and get a book on your auto. With the book you
will find how to use the key switch and count the
flash's you check engine light flashes on. Each
problem has a code that is displayed in flashes.
Don't let who ever is working on it just through your
money and parts until they get the correct part. All new U.S.A. autos use the code deal. No code no fix!

What are the engine codes? If the light was on the codes are stored in the ECU.
