ok, so my family puts on a show every year. And this year me and my husband decided to do a white elephant game but we need some ideas about twisting it up instead of playing the normal pick a piece of paper and what ever number you pick is the order you go. We were thinking about instead of having them pick numbers they could answer christmas trivia questions and if they get it right then they get to choose a gift. What do you think? Need some more help on it.....thanks a bunch!!!

Do you play the version where when you pick your gift the next person in the # order can either pick a new present or steal one that has been opened? If not its really fun. If the person decides to steal then the person who it was stolen from can pick a new present or steal someone elses. The only catch being is that, if your present gets stolen you can't steal it right back. And a gift can only be stolen 3 times the one who steals the really good gift on the 3rd time keeps it.

My wife and I will gang up so if she gets her gift stolen and she really wants it back, she makes me steal it for her....it is wonderful fun.

You want to make sure you buy a gift that everyone will fight over.

That sounds fun...Christmas trivia or better yet; family trivia...make up some nice questions about your family (be nice) and include things such as birthdays, anniversary dates, Grandma's Maiden Name, Middle names of people, etc...facts specific to your family...that way you'd learn a little more about your family members or it may help someone to remember a date...sounds fun and unique. Have Fun!!

-An old rag with a really nice ornament wrapped in it. So they'll think, "Awe, this sux...". Then they'll realize it's something nice. Not very funny, but ok. -A picture frame with a dumb/silly picture of you or someone in your household in it. (Hopefully they're not a stalker, and if they are, tell them the picture was a joke and ask for it back.) I'm not good with funny ideas...just a thought. Sorry if this wasn't helpful. P.S. Merry Christmas!

Christmas questions would be awsome. Name the rein deer. What is Santas real name. Who was roudolfs dad. Where was Christ born. Who was the brother of Christ? Who came to see the babe when it was born? What presents were brought to Mary and Joseph for the baby?

That sounds like fun. Another idea that our family has used is to cut playing cards in half and when the other half is chosen they can pick a present. You can also do this by rolling dice and the highest roll goes first.
