It has been killing me trying to figure it out. I just want the head, not any o fthe background to where the image is squared off. I really need somone to gimme step by step directions, or where i can find them. Thank tou so much for your time.

Don't try to cut just the head. Use the lasso capture tool to circle around the head and cut/paste it into where you want.

Using the LAYER MASK on the newly pasted head, you can now carefully 'mask out' the parts around the head you don't want. Using the paint brush you can control what is there and what is not. Painting BLACK on a layer mask will make things disappear and painting WHITE will make it appear.
