It's fairly evident that the EU or the Paris-Berlin axis are strongly intent on forming a suprantional supertstate to counter American worldwide dominance. Of course America has been around for over 200 years and will continue to dominate long after the dream of european unification has crumbled to dust!

Well, there are a lot of assumptions there that have to be taken as given before that question can be answered.

I'd hardly call the EU monolithic or tyrannical; "overly bureaucratic and unresponsive" would be my label. Look at the failed attempt to draft a European constitution. Most of what was in there was legislative minutia that would be of little use to the typical European, which is why it was voted down.

Nor has the trend in the US been toward being less monolithic or tyrannical; quite the opposite. States rights, for all practical purposes, no longer exist, and a whole new agency has been created that treats Americans as subjects, not citizens (I refer, of course, to the TSA).

As for dominance, demographics rule, and Europe is in more trouble there than any other region. The US is in much better shape, mainly because of immigration. Indeed, one can argue that the US might be better served by being more selective about who can immigrate, but that's another discussion. Unless the European population decline can be reversed, Europe will need a unified government just to get a seat at the table.

I hate it when one of us is so arrogant and ignorant.. what is your point in insulting Europe.
Take a look at ourselves.. we ran from tyranny of Kings.. and then look at what we have in the White house.. do you really think your vote counts anymore.... give me a break!
King George is in the thrown right now!

As long as they despise the freedom that we still have here in the U.S., they will not stop at trying to bring us down. It doesn't help when we have Supreme Court justice citing EU court precedence in U.S. decisions, rather than decisions based on our own case law, founded in our judicial structure.
