I had the contraceptive rod a few months ago and im think about having it taken out. the reason is....my periods, im on for about 2 weeks maybe longer and then im off for about a week and then im back on again, its really gettin me down, i want it taken out, but im scared it will hurt ive been reserchin it but nothin has really help just wanted to know if any people out there can give me some of their experiences, would be really greatful......thank you kiz x x x

I've met a couple women that said they had to have theirs taken out but to keep it from hurting they were told that it's ok to take aspirin.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to find out how they want the patient to handle the pain before they start so that it doesn't hurt so much.
