Ironically, the whole "Merry Christmas" debate has once again thrown the right wing far off track.....

I can certainly the basics of their point on the issue (about how it is a secular holiday now, and no offense is intended, and they are just trying to be nice) and while I disagree with this point, I can at least see it......

But......it has morphed into being hostile.

I was listening to a right wing radio show yesterday where the host made a point of saying that she was going to say "Merry Christmas" to everyone ESPECIALLY her left wing contacts, just to stick it in their faces....

"Merry Christmas" to stick it in their faces. "Merry Christmas" to try to offend someone. "Merry Christmas" to be mean......How very sweet.....

So...in the process of trying to make an interesting point, they have turned it into in your face religion again.....and Christian love is misunderstood once again by its loudest cheerleaders.....
Goofballs....

Oooooooo....you forgot Kwanzaa!!!! Call the PC police!

I think that is a nice sentiment from you; eventhough I wasn't fighting with you.

I hope (read: sincerely) that you and your family have a safe, happy, and merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.

im christian. i will say merry christmas. if any one wants to say happy chanukah i wont be angry. or any other winter time holiday i wont be angry. it should be up to you what you want to say. its your constitutional right to freedom of speech and freedom of expression. now if its a public official saying this i do not beleive that is constitutional beacuse of seperation of church and state. the only way i would disagree with any topic related to this is if they made a law where i could not have a relegion... wouldent stop me... also unconstitutional.... but thats the only reason i would be angry. i think private corporations should give the employees the choice to say what ever they want to say inregards to haliday greetings. walmart actualy says merry christmas but they shouldent just say that. yea. lol.
civics class helps alot with these topics.
