I dont believe a lot of the old wives tales.
i am 21 weeks and having a girl. during the first trimester i craved salty food and hated sweets but now i LOVE sweets. I have to have at least 1 glass of choc milk a day. Craving Orange juice usually means ur having a boy but i craved orange juice all the time. The chinese calander also said i would have a boy but wrong again! I know your anxious but the only way for you to really know is an ultrasound and even that is only like 70% accurate. Good luck..hope all is well!!

On my first boy I craved green beans and peanut M&M's (not at the same time)
On my second boy I craved peanut M&M's and spicy food.
On my third boy I craved watermelon. I would sit and eat the whole thing in one sitting!

I never had a girl, but I can tell you that I carried one high and one low. Each pregnancy was different and I found that most old wives tales are just that, tales.

Good luck!

It's not fifty-fifty, despite what some people have said. You're more likely to have a boy than a girl. There's no way to predict which it will be based on the food you're craving. At this early stage in development (and even at later stages) the hormonal differences between a developing boy and a developing girl aren't all that big.

sorry but all the tales and myths are just coincidental and can be very wrong... all the "signs" where wrong for me twice.... i had to completely different pregnancy's from the way i felt, to the food i ate, to the way i carried, to the weight loss/gain, etc.. and had two girls... you will have to wait until your ultrasound around 20 weeks to find out, but its always fun to do the games (wedding ring on a string) or wives tales in the mean time.
EDIT:
if the ring swings back and forth its a girl, in a circle its a boy

girl.

I hated cake and sweets before pregnancy but couldnt get enough of them when pregnant, hated orange juice while pregnant too..........had a baby girl 4 months ago.

Also, it'll be a girl if you are starting to get spots....ive had clear skin all my life bt when i was about 8 weeks preg i had spotty skin and oily skin, apparently its the female hormones of the baby!!!

Also, when you have your 1st scan have a look at baby's belly. Big round pregnant looking belly = girl, flat belly = boy.

All wives tales i suppose but i was right about mine and also about 4 of my friends who had 3 girls and 1 boy!!!

best of luck in the pregnancy, god i cant imagine having a huge belly now with heartburn and leg cramps and all the other joys that come with it.....ha ha its worth it tho!!!

x

If you want to know the gemder of you baby wait and go for scan. My experience shown that all this stuff is incorrect.Your craving of food depend on what you body need much not on what you are having.

Its normally sweet stuff for a girl and savoury stuff for a boy. Also they say if you eat a lot of curry's and chilli's that's a sign of a boy also. Sounds like your having a girl.
