Waiting is not going to do any harm, but rushing may. Certainly there are people who have married young who've gone on to have happy marriages, some of whom have already responded to you. And there are people who married young and regretted it. But what's the rush? Marriage isn't a finish line that you want to get to as fast as you can. Being married is not going to drasticly change your relationship for good or bad, especially if you're already going to move in together. If you wait and after a couple of years you still feel the same way, then you haven't lost anything and you have those extra years of certainty backing you up. If (and I do hope this isn't the case), one or the other of you feels differently after a few years, you'll still be going through a potentially difficult break-up, but you'll be spared a messy and possibly costly divorce and an unhappy first marriage. You don't mention directly how old either of you are, so the legalities where you live may prevent you from getting married now anyways. There's also the issue of whether your families will approve of you getting married at a young age. You sound like you have realistic expectations for your relationship; you know that fighting is something even happy couples do. But waiting longer is unlikely to harm a healthy relationship, so give it a try.

That is a 2 way question it's bad to get married at a young age and also have a child at a young age. I have had both happen to me and i hated that i got pregnant at a early age but i love my son and i wouldn't trade him for nothing in the world. I just miss out on lots of my childhood but i made it up in making sure that my son enjoyed his childhood. Now getting married oh that was a disaster i wish that would have never happen to me but if it wouldn't have happen i would never learned lots of things that i have. I stayed married for 8 years and the first 3 were great but after that i hated it because i had a jealous husband i got ride of him i got a divorce ( hurray). I have met the man of my dreams and i have remarried and i love my husband so much we have been together for over 7 beautiful years and my son and my husband are irresistible and they love each other and he have really help me raised my son the be that great 16 year old boy that he is. Life couldn't be any better and i love it all for what it is.

Both. nothing worse than getting getting married at say 19 and getting divorced 2 years later and make the same mistake 3 times. Kids because there is nothing worse than seeing young girls/boys bringing young babies up when they are still children themselves. (And the majority of the time not having a clue.) They think its easy but it's not.

Getting married hopefully involves some thought, while having kids at a young age usually happens because of no planning whatsoever, so I'd say having kids. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing...

Definitely haveing kids. If you get married too young, and realize that you made a mistake, you could always get divorced and move on with your life. However, if you bring kids into the picture too young, you can't divorce them. It is your responsibility to take care of them until they are adults. That's why it is so important for people to wait until they are financially and emotionally ready to be parents before they have kids.

Getting married and having kids before the age of about 25 isn't a good idea imo.

Having kids at a young age is worse. I had a student one year who was raped at the age of 10, had the baby when she was 11, and now has 4 more. The first was taken from her.
It is a sad, sad situation.
She ought to have had an abortion. She was a child herself when she had the boy, and she now is 23 and has others, whom she does not know how to care for.
