If you want to give it a really good clean, hoover, mop with hot mildly soapy water and then once dry, a good beeswax polish followed by a really good beeswax buffing.
It's hard work but will look a treat and smell delish!
p.s. before applying polish and stains or scuffs can be lightly sanded. Also anice and more permenant alternative is lime waxing!

I had a wooden floor years ago and that is what I did just vacuumed with attachment with brush and used damp cloth to wet mop and dried with cleaning towel . When doing floors any type of floor drying is so important. Plenty of air stirring. When wet mopping the cleaning towel is damp to the touch when doing wooden floors.

I lived in Norway for a couple of years in a previous life. A slosh of pine soap in hottish water and mop works great. Drying it after was never done but I would do with your hardwood. It sounds lovely

To remove surface stains from a hard finish, always use a soft and clean cloth. Never use steel wool, sandpaper, or any other harsh chemicals on such an area as they can cause permanent damage to your floor’s finish.

The best way to clean wood floors is to use vinegar and water when you damp mop. Other than that, your system sounds good.
