If that's the issue, I think you shouldn't feel sad.
Your children are lucky enough if they have a loving family.
It doesn't matter how many elements constitute that family, as long as they feel they have people able to support them in every sense...
Sure, it might at times occur to them to ask what things would be like if their grandparents were part of their lives, just like I used to fancy about my cousins who all lived abroad...
But that will lose any importance whatsoever sooner than you expect... (I hate to say this, but when I was a teenager and even a child, I thought old people were difficult to socialize with...)
Happy Holidays.

Yes, I have bitter sweet feelings too that more family is not involved in seeing each other, but it is for the best, still, I do feel sad over it.
Merry Christmas

Now that you have brought it up I am.
Out of 7 of us I only know what my brother and I will be doing.
I haven't been told what any of the others will be doing, so now am wondering.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I guess a few emails are called for.

yeah, there's alot of things.
but one very close and important to me is that
my little brother is shipping off to the war right after the new year and we wont get to see him before he leaves even though he'll be home in Oklahoma---we don't have the gas money ya see and if my mom takes off on Dec. 26 to see him when he'll be in Arlington, Tx she'll loose about a week of pay and my hubby's work is the same way....
we're prayin' nothin' happens to him and we're gonna try to talk on the phone b4 he's gone.
gotta go cry now....................................
